Pramuan Bunkanwanicha serves as the Dean of Faculty and Full Professor of Finance at ESCP Business School. He specializes in teaching Corporate Finance, Emerging Markets Finance, and International Finance. From 2017 to 2023, he held the position of Associate Dean for Research, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing the school’s academic reputation and achievements.
He earned his Doctorate in Economics from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2006 and an Habilitation in Management Sciences (Finance) from Université Paris-Dauphine in 2013. Additionally, he holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok.
Before joining ESCP Business School, Pramuan was a visiting scholar at Columbia Business School and Yale University. He also served as a visiting professor at Boston College and Hitotsubashi University.
Pramuan’s research focuses broadly on corporate finance, with particular attention to family businesses, political connections, and emerging markets. His work has been published in leading academic journals, including the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, and the Journal of Comparative Economics.
