The ESCP Sustainability Institute equips leaders to navigate the complexities of climate change, planetary boundaries and societal grand challenges. By fostering collaboration and innovation, we strive for a liveable and just future for organizations and communities worldwide. To do this, the institute fosters innovative research and education in sustainability management, developed at the nexus of management, natural sciences, social sciences, with implications for policy makers and practitioners.

Aurélien Acquier - Professor - ESCP

Aurélien Acquier

Director of the Institute for Sustainability

Professor Aurélien Acquier holds a PhD in Management from Ecole des Mines - PSL and an Habilitation for Doctoral Supervision from Paris 1 - Sorbonne. His research explores how Anthropocene and Planetary Boundaries reshape organizations and their strategy. A regular guest speaker at international events, he has published numerous articles and books about the history of sustainability and CSR, or how new organizational configurations (such as Global Value Chains or sharing economy) affect sustainability topics.

Adaptation(s)

The Adaptation(s) programme is a collaboration between Axa Climate School and ESCP Business School. The collaboration is structured around three objectives:

  • An observatory studying adaptation practices and strategies,
  • A cycle of public conferences and events
  • A support program for managers to understand the imperatives and opportunities related to adaptation.

ESCP, ESSEC, and HEC Paris students collaborate to depolarize the climate debate

Over the course of three dynamic days, our Bachelor students engaged in a series of scenario games across our Berlin, Paris, and London campuses. A total of 175 students participated, confronting real-world business challenges and exploring innovative solutions to environmental issues.
