Regenerative Business Models

This event will be dedicated to discussing recent developments in the field of regenerative business practices. A diverse range of actors from business, politics, civil society, and science are working on the sustainable transformation of economy and society. A central challenge of this megaproject is overcoming 'business as usual' in favour of alternative forms of value creation that are based on the principles of strong and regenerative sustainability. Directly linked to this are the business models with which companies and other organisations create value.

STARbowl meets Regenerativer Salon

At ESCP's third STARbowl event 'Regenerative Business Models', jointly organised by ESCP Business School Berlin and Initiative Regenerative Marktwirtschaft (IRM), we shed light on how principles of regeneration can be integrated into the business models of start-ups, established companies, and other kinds of organisations. As a special treat, the results from IRM's latest research on regenerative business practises will be presented.

This STARbowl is the third in a series of STAR Centre events dedicated to rethinking business models. STARbowl #1 dealt with moving from compliance to business model innovation, STARbowl #2 was dedicated to issues of business model impact assessment, and STARbowl #3 pushes the boundaries and explores new territory beyond sustainability.

Opening statements by IRM Co-Founder Sebastian Fittko and Professor Florian Lüdeke-Freund will introduce the topic of the evening. Special highlights: Dr. Stefan Siemer, Head Group Sustainability at WELEDA and Henning Reiche, General Manager at TRUESDAY specialty coffee, will provide inspiration for the subsequent FishBowl discussion that will be open to all participants.

This dialogue event will take place on 29 February 2024, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the ESCP Business School Berlin, Heubnerweg 8-10, 14059 Berlin.
