A Night to Remember at the 2024 Turin Gran Galà
ESCP Business School's Turin Campus hosted its annual Gran Galà on Friday, 19 April 2024, welcoming a record-breaking attendance of over 600 guests to the iconic Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi - a stunning 18th-century royal hunting lodge and UNESCO World Heritage Site. This prestigious event brought together the ESCP community to celebrate our collective successes.
The enchanting evening, themed "A Touch of Gold," commenced with a delightful aperitivo in the gardens before transitioning indoors for a tasty dinner. This event was dedicated to honouring ESCP's accomplishments of the past year and celebrating the success of our vibrant community.
The inspiring speeches delivered by Prof. Alberta Di Giuli, Dean of ESCP Turin Campus, along with Prof. Francesco Rattalino, Prof. Francesco Profumo, and Prof. Stefano Lo Russo, Mayor of Turin, resonated throughout the room, evoking feelings of pride and achievement.
The night's highlight was the awards ceremony, expertly hosted by Prof. Fabrizio Granà. Several prizes were presented:
- Clara Bocchio and Prof. Francesco Venuti awarded Reply with the ESCP Executive Education Strategic Excellence Award.
- Erica Brignolo and Prof. Francesca Pucciarelli honoured the winning team of the Green Hackathon, represented by Carlo Alberto Griseri and Padmini Pandit.
- Valentina Tabacchi and Prof. Daniele Battaglia awarded the "Student Society of the Year 2024 - Turin Campus" to vipi.education, enthusiastically represented by David Elias Kurzmann and Artus Triniac.
The students' societies finalists, voted by their peers, saw vi.ipi education emerge victorious with a 24.8% preference. ESCP Bachelor Society followed closely in second place with 20.8%, while GEA Sustainability secured the third spot with 14% of the votes.
The 18th Turin Gran Galà was a spectacular evening that brought together students, alumni, faculty, staff, and distinguished guests in a celebration of ESCP's collective achievements. This event not only fostered a strong sense of belonging and pride but also provided a valuable networking opportunity, strengthening connections within the ESCP community.
Following the awards ceremony, guests were treated to a surprise performance by the talented ballerinas from the Stardust school, who enchanted the audience with a breathtaking winged performance. The energy soared as a DJ kept the lively music playing, ensuring guests danced well into the night.
With record attendance from students, the 18th Turin Gran Galà was a resounding success. It showcased ESCP Business School's unwavering dedication to excellence, community, and celebration. It was truly a night filled with unforgettable moments that highlighted the spirit and vibrancy of the ESCP community.
